The Canadian Society of Medievalists aims to represent Canadian medievalists around the world and medievalists working in Canada. They hold conferences, publish Florilegium – an annual journal, and help with various projects in Canada related to medieval studies.

At the recent Congress 2012 of the Humanities and Social Sciences we spoke with Elizabeth Edwards and James Weldon, the President and Past President of the Canadian Society of Medievalists, about the history of the organization and the importance of medieval studies in Canada
